Pedestrian/Bicycle
Long Branch Trail Phase II
Phase II of the Long Branch Trail entails a 1.2-mile multimodal corridor that extends from the existing trail at MLK, Jr. Drive to 25th Street, transforming an inactive NCDOT-owned railroad right-of-way. SRI will conduct the outreach activities for the project, starting with a stakeholder and public meetings in March 2025. Our team will actively seek to gather input on design and hardscape/landscape features of the trail. Other activities include pop up events, connection with local neighborhoods and social media/website posts and visuals. This project is being funded by a federal RAISE grant (Rebuilding American Infrastructure with Sustainability and Equity).

Tasks include an online survey, neighborhood meeting, public workshop and website/social media content. The residents of Ole Ashboro neighborhood were very active in the project, providing very useful comments and suggestions.
